Having delivered many thousands of training programs in 5 continents we have established the 5 Training Vowels below.  We have found that the presence of these 5 factors ensures your training delivers real and significant improvement in subsequent day to day results.

A.  Accountability:
Delegates must be held accountable for applying the learning of any training programme once they return to the workplace.  There must to be follow up and encouragement to apply what has been learned.  We encourage coaching and internal follow from line management to ensure traction is gained.

E.  Effectiveness:
Training must be instructionally sound. It must be relevant, applicable and anchored in reality.  Course content must be appropriate and immediately applicable in the workplace.  All 'learning styles' need to be catered for to ensure all participants connect at the peak of their ability.

I.  Integration:
Training must be integrated with the overall Vision & Direction of the organisation. There must be clear reasons for training and obvious links to corporate initiatives and values.  Consistent and relevant messages that align with corporate direction must feature in the materials.

O.  Outcomes:
Training must have a purpose - not simply as an exercise in box ticking.  Clearly defined outcomes and measurable goals provide direction and through which accountability and ownership for future improvement is possible. 

U.  Understanding:
Training must be supported by leaders who understand the purpose behind it.  When leaders understand the desired training outcomes they can support, coach and encourage the use of techniques, skills and behaviours learned once delegates return to the workplace.
